Recap

On 20 January 2010, I had surgery to repair two subdural hematomas. This was not an emergency surgery, but rather the result of two slow bleeds. I got to spend the night in the surgical ICU on Wednesday night, moved to a private room on Thursday and discharged from the hospital on Friday. As I write this, it is three weeks out and the recovery is slow. It is far slower than I imagined. I feel as though I went into the hospital feeling like a 40 year old and came out as an 80 year old. I'll be really happy when I get back to 61.
